Meet Your PHOTOGRAPHER
I am so happy that you are here!
I hope that the process of booking a wedding photographer will be seamless and stress-less!
I can imagine how much you’ve got on your plate right now between juggling a full time job and organising a wedding. Not to mention family politics (it seems to be the hardest part of planning such a huge life milestone).
Most of my couples comment on how professional I am. I like to be prepared and I like to really connect and understand what my couple wants which really helps me to empathise with them.
Connection and being in the present moment are my core values - this is why you will see a lot about who I am, where I travel and what I like - to help you get to know me.
I go above and beyond to accommodate an environment where my couples feel reassured that their vision has been heard and that their concerns have been listened to.
I love my job mostly because of the connections that I get to make with humans. We are all so unique and different.
Speaking from experience, the more I interact with different people and cultures, the more I get to learn about the world and about myself.
I really hope that our paths will cross and I get the privilege of being a wedding photographer on your big day.
My Promise to You
The most Important things in life are THE CONNECTIONS you make WITH OTHERS.
- Tom Ford
My promise to myself and to you is to remain curious and creative (it is easy to get lost in ‘doing the job’ and what is required of you, but I am creative, curious and love to explore, wedding photography is not ‘just a job’ to me)
To be there when needed and to be a wallflower and observe when it is time to take a step back
To discover who you are by immersing myself in preparations prior to your wedding day
To make your stories come to life by capturing most intimate moments and listening tales about your life from friends and family during the speeches (I can never get tired of the speeches!).
To always cherish the opportunity and the privilege of being chosen as your wedding photographer
To take it with respect and gratitude and to give back in the form of memories of all the feelings that were felt on the day
The things that I love
Watercolours
I recently started painting and I love it. Watercolours can be unpredictable and they can be hard to tame but I absolutely love seeing the results.
Crafts
This is also something new that I have recently discovered through my new friendships. I love creating decorations (especially Christmas decorations), paper crafts, wreaths, Harry Potter book of Monsters, painting candles and so much more!
Being outdoors
I recently completed Couch to 5K and I am hooked. The idea of regressing is so much worse than keeping going. I love playing tennis now, Netball, running and generally making the most of the outdoors. (although being a couch potato sometimes is very attractive)
Old Furniture
Restoring old furniture - although a hobby that has been put to bed for a little while, I still endlessly love breathing new life into old things.
Nature
In particular plants. I just love them and can spend hours photographing them. Fun fact… as part of my 30th birthday surprise, we spent an entire day in Kew Gardens with family, we had a picnic on the grass, it was bliss. There are perks of being born in summer.
Surprises
Speaking of surprises… I love surprises, supposedly I don’t have to make any decisions (somehow I end up making a tonne anyway)! Although someone might argue that I'm really rather bad at surprises and don't like not being in the know!
Ice Cream
My favourite comfort food
TV Shows
Binge watching Netflix shows - is my escapism. I'm not very good at trivia but when it comes to TV Shows you'd want me on your team!
Harry Potter
I'm a Harry Potter fan - Yes both movies and books. We often have it on a timer as a 'bed time story' on Alexa before we go to sleep. We're currently going through a phase of collecting Vinyl Pops which began when my younger sister gave me one Pop as a gift for Xmas... (trust her to start an obsession).
Board Games
It must be because I’m getting older… (I'm just kidding). We went to visit our friends in the states and they introduced us to CATAN. We are obsessed with that game and are looking to grow our collection.
Pancakes
If you really want to get on my good side, take me to a pancake cafe! Or better still make them yourself. Or! Let me make them for you :)
THE TEAM
Meet Your DREAM TEAM
Your dream team consists of me really, and also two sausage dogs and two fluffy cats.
We got the cat (Bilbo - our heart and soul), Frodo (our white fluffy cloud), our sausage dog (Frankie - a girl - red) and Wilson (our black and tan mamma’s boy). A fun fact - Wilson was named Harry at first, but he just would not respond. As a joke we tried out ‘Wilson’ as a name, to which he responded immediately. Why Wilson? Castaway (but also mainly because of the show called Friday Night Dinner - you know the man who was afraid of his own dog named Wilson?).
Fortunately, they all get on with each other. Bilbo is the OG and the king of the castle and Wilson loves giving all of our animals a ‘trim’ by lovingly nipping everyone’s fur. (Thanks Wilson).
